New functionality out tomorrow also supports VR videos in 4K

The update also takes on VR and allows support for playback of 4K VR content in conjunction with the PS VR. PS VR’s display resolution is 1920 x 1080, which makes the 4K VR content will get an upgrade in quality bringing it in line with HD VR videos.

Sony also wants to remind users using the PS4 Pro that a number of streaming platforms that you can access on the system already support 4K content including Netflix and YouTube.
