Acclaimed Music Puzzler ‘Chime’ Hits The Consoles This Week

Play the Sharpened Version of Acclaimed Music Puzzler ‘Chime’ Today on Playstation 4, Friday on Xbox One!

Chilled Mouse today announced the launch of music puzzle title Chime Sharp on PS4 and on Microsft Xbox One on February 24th. Chime Sharp gives Tetris-style puzzle gameplay a musical twist as you traverse along a beatline that reads shapes as notes through 16 levels, experimental modes and a melodic ambient soundtrack. Remix hypnotic electronic tracks from trailblazing experimental artists, including CHVRCHES, Steve Reich and Kavinsky, in a colorful, geometric world.

“Console gamers are going to really enjoy Chime Sharp. Just like the original Chime, this one was destined for console with gameplay that really lends itself to controllers and sit-back play”, said Ian Baverstock, CEO of Chilled Mouse. “To celebrate the console launch today we have added in a 16th level, a bonus track from Canadian electronic musician CFCF”.

Described as a crossover between a music sequencer and Tetris, Chime Sharp tasks players to place various shapes together in a race against the clock while the passing beatline reads the blocks as notes, remixing melodies from electronic tracks. The goal is to cover the whole playing grid by completing quads of 3×3 or more, generating points while enjoying melodic works by acclaimed musicians including Kavinsky, CHVRCHES, Steve Reich, Los, Chipzel, Andy Hung, Message to Bears, Timothy Schmalz, Magic Sword, Shirobon, Noveller, Haiku Salut, Luc Grey, A Mote of Dust, Symbion Project, and CFCF.
