That’s it. Okay, so maybe there is a bit more to it, but Netflix isn’t saying much other than a Castlevania series is headed to Netflix sometime this year.
Producer Adi Shankar has spoken about the project on and off for a while now. He is best known recently for working on that gritty Power Rangers short film that featured James Vanderbeek and Katee Sackhoff, but I know him best for his work on the fantastic Dredd.
About a year ago Shankar posted to his official Facebook page say that “Breaking News: I’m producing a super violent Castlevania mini-series with my homies Fred Seibert and Kevin Klonde. It’s going to be dark, satirical, and after a decade of propaganda it will flip the vampire sub-genre on its head.”
When we have more information we will update you, but fingers crossed we get something live-action!
