Krome Studios, one of Australia’s longest serving video game developers, is proud to announce a new source of 4K HD footage of the long-thought extinct Tasmanian Tiger.
Never before has anyone seen the amazing Thylacines in such clarity. Featuring adaptive brightness, dynamic shadows and 4K resolution support, this new development gives nature lovers a new way of looking at these incredible creatures as they run, jump and throw flaming boomerangs at lizards.
All this fancy 4K footage and such is part of the new HD remaster of the multi-million selling TY The Tasmanian Tiger video game, built by members of the original 2002 development team. The PS2 era was the dying breath for the 3D platformer and this is one I missed/skipped. That said, doing some digging there are lots of great things to say about the title so this is the perfect time to give the game a shot. Steam Early Access has seen the game rated as “Overwhelmingly positive” so that’s a pretty good foot to get off on with the studio really listening to fans.
TY The Tasmanian Tiger takes the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube title into the modern era with support for widescreen displays, 4K resolutions, 60 FPS, HD textures and a completely rewritten graphical engine with new lighting, shadows and reflection effects. Rounding out the package are online leaderboards, mouse and keyboard controls designed for the PC and an improved camera system.
