You can now watch people eat on Twitch

The world is a much different place for the 30 and under of today. Where once jobs were required, or the desire to better oneself took precedent, now you can just sit in front of your webcam and do whatever and get paid for it. Look, don’t get it twisted (that’s a cool young person phrase, right?), I would totally love to be paid to sit in front of my computer. Hell, I’m doing the sitting part right now on a very comfy DX Racer office (please sponsor me so I can pay my bills).

But Twitch has no opened up a new world that was once relegated mostly to odd-ball Korean girls. I don’t begin to understand a lot about what happens in Asian countries, but if anime has taught me anything is that things can get pretty weird. I mean, they are eating getting attacked by giant monsters, or those monsters are trying to have sex with them. Anyways, eating on camera has been around for a while over there with a number of people making a living doing it; or at the very least getting sent a lot of free food.

Twitch, the once home of video game streamers that yelled a lot and girls in tight pants bending over to pick stuff up on camera, have now moved into another new territory with their new Social Eating category. This follows their art, music, and other non-gaming categories, all of which made logical sense. Everyone has their fetish so who am I to judge, but I don’t think I’ll be catching many eating streams.

Still, there aren’t many doing it right now so they timing is perfect for those boobie streamers to shift over from playing League of Legends to eating. Not sure which is harder to do, but they both seem pretty close with one requiring mad clicking skills and the other chomping ones. Never too early to start milking a money-making opportunity!
