WWE Main Event Recap & Results 4/15/14

Welcome to our first WWE Main Event Recap & Results, here at GAMbIT!  We are going to give you full insights and thoughts on matches and storylines going on throughout the WWE today.  I will be rating the matches from a scale of 1-5 and give you what you need to know on what happens each night, along with my thoughts about the product today.  So let’s do this!!! (Brock Lesnar Voice)

Opening:

We open tonight with the entrance of Los Matadores, a team that I don’t think the WWE  knows what to do with. But maybe I spoke too soon, because the next entrance and the team that Los Matadores are going up against are no other then 3MB, or 3 Man Band! Sadly, only Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre are here tonight. Jinder takes the mic and says that no really like Torito (I’m here in the background yelling Amen). Out comes Hornswoggle as a mascot with the 3MB outfit (Shake My Head).

Los Matadores w. El Torito vs. Jinder Mahal & Drew McIntyre w. Hornswoggle

This match was pointless, only because I felt like this was just a big promo for future midget wrestling, and  honestly at this point, why not? Vince has tons of money, why not start his own brand of midget wrestlers.  Don’t get me wrong, there were some good spots during the match, for example, Diego’s hand stand on the turnbuckle, but just when I thought this match was going to get good, here comes Hornswoggle ,distracting Diego to let Drew get the advantage.

When El Torito saw that, he wasn’t going to let it slide as he went over to Hornswoggle and dove from the top rope, but ended up missing. Hornswoggle then gets back into the ring, as does El Torito and what we get here is a war between two midgets. It gets so ugly that the referee calls for the bell and everyone in that ring gets low blow. This match ended in a No Contest, but like I wrote earlier … midget wrestling is coming to the WWE. You heard me say it here first!

No Contest

Next up we get a video package of Warrior Week that will be airing all week on WWE Network, along with another vignette for Bo Dallas. I for one am not ready to BOlieve.

Bad News Barrett vs. Sin Cara

The Barrett gimmick really seems to be taking off with the fans. As soon as he came out Barrett got a massive pop from the crowd. And, as this is Barrett, he of course he came out with a mic and told to Sin Cara “I’m afraid I have some Bad News”, he simply said that Sin Cara is a joke and a fantasy character and that Scooby Doo won’t be able to help him because this is the real world.  He also includes how he will be the next Intercontinental Champion (which I do believe) and goes into the ring to start the match.

Barrett attacks Cara first, but it wasn’t enough, as Cara takes him out of the ring and hits him with a suicide dive. Cara comes back in to climb to the top ropes, but Barrett gives him some bad news and blocks him from doing so. This high-flying match soon comes to a close when Cara hits a cross body, then scissor takeover and tries for a pin, that gives him the count of 2. Barrett comes back strong with a Wind of Change , toping it off with a Bullhammer for the win!

We get a recap of what happened in the ring on Raw last night with the Warrior Tribute. We also get to see once again the amazing video package of Warrior, in case if you didn’t see it you can catch it over on WWE.com.

Divas Battle Royal (The Number One Contender For The Divas Championship)

Look, as many of you already know all Battle Royal’s are a mess, and this one didn’t change that. Almost every Diva was in this match, minus three, Brie Bella, who’s in her honeymoon,  Summer Rae, which no one knows where she’s at.And their AJ Lee who I believe got injury. Tamina really was dominating most of the match, taking out Naomia, Cameron, and both Nikki & Alice Fox. Then only Tamina and Natalya remainded, which at this point I am pretty much done with Natalya being in the title picture. I will say that a match between her and Paige would be pretty amazing though. Shockley, Tamina won by super kicking Natalya off the apron.

In Extreme Rules we will be having Tamina Vs. Paige for the Divas Championship.

Winner: Tamina Snuka

We get another recap of what happened last night on Raw with the return of Evolution. (Check out our Raw Recap HERE)

Jack Swagger w. Zeb Colter vs. The Big Show

Before we get into this match, I just want to say that I’m so happy to see Zeb bringing back the picket sign. Hopefully, there will be more funny/true statements in weeks to come. Zeb grabs the mic expresses his opinion about the actions of Cesaro, and how much he dislikes Paul Heyman. Big Show then comes out and we finally start with the match. Big Show was looking strong early on, laying out the massive chops that could be heard in the first few rows of the arena.

Swagger comes back with with a big boot to Big Show, while Show was trying to attack Swagger in the corner.  Swagger tackles Show’s leg with a shoulder, taking him down. Swagger lays out Big Show and hits not one, but two Swagger Bombs, which came out looking great. Swagger goes for the cover, but only gets a 2 count.  Swagger again tries to take out Big Show’s other leg, but Show fights back and hits him with a pair of clotheslines. On fire, Big Show lifts up Swagger and drops him down to the mat. Show is finally ready to give Swagger a chokeslam to end it all when Swagger suddenly counters and goes for a Patriot Lock. At that moment, I thought Swagger had won the match, but No! Big Show crawls to the ropes, rolls over and grabs Swagger by the throat. He pushes Swagger to the ropes and the Bam! KO Punch! Big Show covers him and 1,2,3 we have a winner.

Winner: Big Show
Rate: 3 out of 5

Big Show takes off his boot and holds on to his ankle.

**Kane comes out and attack Big Show**

After Main Event aired; WWE.com reported that Kane came out and attack Big Show.
