Gearbox Software’s MOBA-shooter hybrid thing, Battleborn released a few weeks back. It got some mixed reviews, but from those that I have spoken with that have the game, they think its a fun take on the MOBA shooter.
The only real problem is that it had the displeasure of launching so close to Overwatch (of which I saved my money for instead) and seemed to get lost in the shuffle. Gearbox is a good studio, but not even they could compete in marketing terms against Blizzard.
That being said they are still trying to eek out their place in the competitive shooter market by offering a massive sale for Battleborn until May 29th. You can snag a copy on Steam for 40% off, which brings the game down to only $36.
If you are like me and want a hard copy of the game, Amazon is selling it for $40. At those prices it looks like it’s time to pick up Battleborn and give it a go.
