TVInsider.com has given us our first look at BD Wong as Hugo Strange on Gotham. For those that know Doctor Strange from the Batman comics, or from the Arkham City video game, you can see the heavy influence of the original character on display.
Strange is set to appear in the second half of season 2, and will bring his unique skills to the series. His goal seems to be to try and create a superpowered human at the expense of many patients. Speaking to TVInsider, Wong stated that,
“What [he] is doing in there is indeed very, very bad. Imagine the worst thing someone might do, then multiply that by 10.”
While Gotham has had its ups and downs, the addition of Hugo Strange should give the show a shot in the proverbial arm. Still, one wonders that when young Bruce Wayne becomes the Batman, all his main villains will be well into their 60s.
