Reddit comes to the rescue yet again. I know many kids out there are scratching their heads asking, “Star Wars Battlefront 3,” but you heard that right. The first two games in the series were pretty swell, with the second pretty much becoming a multiplayer classic on both PC and consoles. At one point a third entry into the series was in development, but eventually canceled and the studio working on it, Freed Radical Design was picked up and merged into Crytek.
Reddit user “ProtoFaggot” says the build of Star Wars Battlefront 3 is playable on Xbox 360 development kits, which makes sense. Links to the video were quickly pulled thanks to Disney and the copyright police, but once things get out, it’s pretty hard to make it go away. While we won’t host the files here (I don’t care to wake up with the office ransacked and a black van waiting for me and my family) I will link to the videos online while it lasts.
Funny thing is that the brief clips already show a game with more depth the the Battlefront reboot we got (sick burn). I mean, air and ground battles going on at the same time? Truly this is madness! How is it possible that vehicles and grounds troops interact on a single map? This magic simply isn’t possible on current gen systems!
