Wrestlers go into the WWE Hal of Fame all the time, but thinking that Sting would get that honor, even only a handful of years ago seemed out of the question. WWE is pretty much the only name in television wrestling, but of all the amazing starts that have set foot in the squared circle, Sting was the one AAA talent that constant ducked the promotion. When WCW was the behemoth it was, even beating WWE (WWF at the time) in the Monday Night wars on a regular basis, Sting was there. When WWE bought out WCW, Sting was one of the only big names to not make the transition over. When TNA was making moves on TV, Sting made the move there and helped make TNA a serious alternative, at least for a little while.
WWE finally snagged Sting last year, and while fans cheered that living legend, I feel that WWE still gave him the short end of the stick, losing his debut match. Now being over the hill in wrestling terms –the art form is brutal on the body– Sting has suffered a major injury and may be out of action from here on out. Still, this addition to the Hall of Fame is well deserved and we wish Sting all the best. I’d really love to see him healthy and snag the only World Title that has eluded him. Hell, the way WWE is right now, they could really use him.
Congratulations to @Sting, @WWE #HallOfFame Class of 2016 Inductee! Details: https://t.co/zvGvBSVQMC pic.twitter.com/gnMOHTLw0y
