Puppet Master: Axis Termination Is Happening

Puppet Master: Axis Termination

Look, I’m not going to sugarcoat things and say that the Puppet Master films were scary, or hell, that they were even that good, but the do have a special place in horror history. I can still remember somehow seeing the original Puppet Master on VHS as a kid (pretty sure I rented it from a mom and pop shop in LA) and thinking it was all sorts of weird.

Come on, killer puppets is just a fun concept. Anyways, it looks as if we are getting another installment the long running series. I would have liked to see a remake of this, but as long as we get crazy puppets killing people I’m okay. The film –looking for funding through indiegogo– already has a poster which you can see below:

Here is the Facebook post regarding the project:

“Our previous Indiegogo campaign was a huge success! We raised additional funds for our 2 latest films, Evil Bong High-5 and Killjoy: Pyscho Circus, which are both currently in post production.”

“Next week, we’re launching a NEW Indiegogo campaign for Puppet Master! There is overwhelming demand for the finale of our Axis Trilogy…. and we’re celebrating over 25 years of Puppet Master.”

“Since its inception in 1989, the “Puppet Master Series” has been our most celebrated, beloved, and enduring franchise. It’s the most successful independent direct to video horror franchise of all time! With classic characters like Blade, Jester, Pinhead, Tunneler and Leech Woman returning to thrill dedicated fans and general audiences alike.”

“For the 11th installment in the series, Charles Band will be directing “Puppet Master: Axis Termination! Set in Berlin during World War II, “Axis Termination” continues the Axis Trilogy, which began with “Puppet Master: Axis of Evil” and “Axis Rising”. This is the same time period as David DeCoteau’s classic “Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge.””
