Rambo: New Blood Series In The Works

Rambo: New Blood

Sylvester Stallone really loves living in the past and milking his old character for all they are worth. While I can’t fault him for that –I’d be doing the same thing– I’m sitting here still waiting for that Cobra reboot. Still, it would seem that after taking on the role of Rocky in the fantastic Creed, the action star is now bringing back Rambo. Is it weird to anyone that both Rocky and Rambo are in their third –sort of– reboots as Stallone already brought each back in the early 2000’s?

The new series going by the title Rambo: New Blood will see Stallone once again take on the role of the once troubled Vietnam vet turned insane movie superhero. Early script details let us know that the series, “pays homage to the original Rambo films, [and] will explore the complex relationship between Rambo and his son, J.R., an ex-Navy SEAL.” So these means that they took the premise of Creed and converted it to fit the Rambo character.

The series is currently under development of at FOX, but no word yet on the details or when we can expect to see the series hit the airwaves. At least the show will be better than that terrible Rambo game that came out last year.
