Subscription services have been all the rage the last few years. I’m not talking about streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, instead blind boxes along the lines of Lootcrate (see our unboxings) and 1up Box. Humble Bundle are now getting into the game with their monthly service for $12 a month.
This new service from Humble Bundle is a highly curated bundle of their favorite games at one fixed price. It includes everything from recent hits to hidden gems to timeless classics – every month. Membership starts at only $12 a month.
Once you’re signed up, you can look forward to 11:00AM PST the first Friday of each month as the day new games are unlocked. The bundle contents will be top-secret until that day.
While the idea of a subscription service for games is a fine idea, I’m not so keen on not knowing what each months game(s) will be. I love Lootcrate, but more often than not the bad months outweigh the good ones, so much so that I canceled that service.
