Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Theme Park

Assassin's Creed Theme Park

Ubisoft has announced that they will be building a theme park based on their Assassin’s Creed and Rabbids franchise. The announcement tells me a few things about things over at Ubisoft headquarters: 1.) They watched the D23 Expo and wanted in on those phat stacks of theme park money. 2) Rabbids are still a thing. 3) Assassin’s Creed is now clearly Ubisoft’s Madden franchise.

Fair enough, but when can we get to the Assassin’s Creed Theme Park and ride… Err, ride the Assassin’s Creed Murder Simulator? I’m still a little fuzzy on what kind of rides we will be getting with a theme park. But that isn’t really the issue here, as the big issue is that you’ll probably never get to visit.

This new UbiLand (that’s probably right) is being built in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The park itself is set to open to the public sometime in 2020.

Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures had the following to say about the park,

“Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game. In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development.”

Yeah, this sounds like the BEST… At the very least they will be able to recreate Far Cry 3 pretty well way out there.
