FTC Announces Refunds Heading Out Now For Razer’s Fake N95 Masks

Razer

You’re a big guy.

Those of you with long memories might remember Razer’s COVID-lockdown-era facemask. Well, things didn’t exactly work out there, now did they?

For those not in the know, shortly after the launch of their Zephyr face masks, Razer tried to quietly remove their N95 claims about the mask. This led to a series of problems with the FTC that were finally settled in May 2024. Said settlement would cost Razer $1 million in fines based almost entirely on the making, and revocation, of those N95 claims.

Back when the settlement was reached, Razer disagreed with the FTC’s allegations, and refused that they would “admit to any wrongdoing.”

The FTC says that not only are the refund checks for the Zephyr face mask heading out now, but that they need to be cashed within 90 days. For PayPal payments, however, they need to be redeemed withing 30 days. If you need more information, the FTC has an FAQ set up, or they recommend calling Simpluris at
