Nintendo’s plan for the Switch 2 has been leaked online via ‘Nate the Hate’ over on Twitter and YouTube.
The word on the street is that Nintendo plans to reveal the successor console to the Nintendo Switch this week, on January 16th. The Nintendo Direct is planned to be only hardware focused and will lay out the Nintendo Switch 2 and its features and capabilities.
The leak also suggests that Nintendo will plan a follow-up Direct that will focus on the release window games sometime in February. Nate goes on to state the Switch 2 has a planned launch window of May or June of this year. These reports have been corroborated by other industry insiders.
Nintendo also seems to be planning a new Mario Kart game to coincide with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, as well as a traditional Mario game to hit just in time for the holiday season. Reports also indicate some modern AAA titles are heading to the Switch 2 including Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the latest Final Fantasy 7 remake.
