Voltron is awesome. But Voltron is also a sore sport for many anime fans. You see, the series never really existed as it was. Instead, when America was just getting its first taste of anime Voltron made waves for just how cool it was.
But the show itself is a mishmash of multiple Japanese anime’s that managed to be cobbled together to form a pretty coherent story. As kids we didn’t really care as all that mattered was that a bunch of awesome pilots formed a huge robot that kicked all sorts of ass.
Now DreamWorks Animation has parented with Netflix to bring the series back in Voltron Legendary Defender. The show is all original and nolonger a mishmash of the original.
