Science is a harsh mistress. When the history books are written all that will be under 2016 will be a photo of a burning tire fire. Hell, that’s probably being generous if I’m being completely honest.

But science is giving us one last jab as 2016 will actually be one second longer because science can sometimes be an asshole.
